The Benefits of Music in Education

Much research has been dedicated to the benefits of music in our lives. Our last issue in January focused on Health and Wellness, and emphasized the health benefits of music on our overall health as well as in reducing stress. In addition, studies show that early musical training helps develop those brain areas involved in language and reasoning; specifically language processes. A link between music and the ability to perceive the world while forming mental pictures of things, allows us to sort and categorize, create mental lists, and in practical terms, complete math problems and pack a bag with everything you need for the day or for a short trip. This means early musical education can do wonders in “training” a child to organize thoughts and reap the benefits of a better education. A creative mind can be a better problem solver; by imagining a variety of solutions, routes and outcomes, it is easier to discern the correct path, and as a result, studies show more successful standar...

Black Diamond Alto Saxophone

Image
The Black Diamond Professional Alto Saxophone - Designed by Rheuben Allen - Repairman to the Hollywood Studio & Touring Woodwind Players. This saxophone is a great example of his ingenuity. The saxophone has rich, dark, and smooth tone. There were only two in existence that were made from the prototype. We have the prototype in our office. This saxophone is taken by our staff to gigs, practice, and try outs to music teachers. It runs a close second to the fabulous RAAS6L - 14K Alto Sax. Alas, there is only 1 left, and the first one was bought by a collector who doesn't play (go figure)! See the Description Below: Black Diamond Professional Alto Saxophone Model No. HSASBD Limited Edition Model - Only 1 Available  - Last One Features: The Heavy Freedom/Power Neck Brace Easy to operate High & Trill F# Keys Easy to reach Front F or Altissimo Key Black Nickel Plated Body, Neck  & Keys Leather Contour Case Rheuben Allen® Mouthpiece Manuf...

Just information on Supporting Small Businesses like KDI Music. We support our staff, community, and Charitable Organizations we believe in. Grow and create employment.
