Passion For Music!

At KDI Music, our mission is to share our passion for music with individuals and organizations in need of instruments and accessories.  As musicians in heart and soul, we take great pride in providing high quality products on our website.  We inspect, review, and “road test” our instruments to ensure their quality and reliability for our clients.

As part of living our mission, we believe it is important to be active in our local communities, volunteering our time and resources.  We participate in events with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce and the Corporate Volunteer Council – South Bay.

We help the Disneyland Alumni Club serving as advisors for show production, sponsorships, and technical support.  On August 1, 2015 at the Disneyland Hotel - The Disneyland Alumni Club will present - Sixty Magical Years of Disneyland - Come and Join them for the Celebration!

We support the Rheuben Allen Education Foundation in their promotion of music in schools and provide opportunities for underprivileged children to play instruments. 

And each August we sponsor the Nisei Week Foundation Marching Band & Dance Troupe providing logistics and loan instruments for the all-volunteer group ranging in age from middle school youths to adults.

We finally got to play the newest line of the Kenny G  Soprano Saxophone - 85% Copper Body - Model KGSSCL-GVI The product was introduced at the NAMM show in 2017 and we are excited to be one of the first to take it for a spin. It plays with such a dark, rich, and full tone. The range is amazing and fluid key action.. The body which is 85% copper, and a mixture of brass with brass keys. With a Champagne Lacquer Finish, ribbed construction, newly designed High F-Sharp Trill Key and Harmonic (Front F) keys. The bore design is the same as the G- Series IV Soprano Saxophones, and it does make a difference compared to others. The most important reason to practice overtones is to learn how to play in tune correctly. It's a misconception that putting the mouthpiece in just the right spot on the neck will get the saxophone to play in tune. A lot of things go into it. Using the correct reed strength with the correct mouthpiece tip opening; making sure you are playing with enough air pressure; using the correct embouchure.
