Looking Forward to a Great Year in the Music Arts Education!  It is time to balance our work and personal lives in this going forward this busy year. At KDI Music, we try to help out individuals and organizations in need of musical instruments and accessories.

In the growth of our Company, we just need a little push take us over the edge by looking forward to new products or suggestions from our staff of musicians. In 2015, we will be attending the NAMM (National Association of Music Manufacturers) to look for new products to enhance our offerings on our website, as well as savings to the end user. We have a new team member – Creative Marketing Director. We will introduce soon. It is an exciting time for KDI Music.

We sponsor the Nisei Week Foundation Marching Band every August for the Grand Parade held in Little Tokyo, by providing logistics and loan instruments for the music players. Come out and Support the Band!

We help out the Disneyland Alumni Club with technical support, and volunteer for any special events.

We volunteer where ever we can for the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, Rheuben Allen Education Foundation,  and the Corporate Volunteer Council – So  Bay.

The most important reason to practice overtones is to learn how to play in tune correctly. It's a misconception that putting the mouthpiece in just the right spot on the neck will get the saxophone to play in tune. A lot of things go into it. Using the correct reed strength with the correct mouthpiece tip opening; making sure you are playing with enough air pressure; using the correct embouchure.
